Urban Canvases extensively explored the relationship between graffiti and the rich cultural, historical, and social dynamics of Berlin's diverse neighbourhoods. From tracing graffiti's evolution to unveiling its unique significance in each area, our research combined interviews with graffiti artists and residents, along with in-depth graffiti artwork analysis. This comprehensive investigation allowed us to reveal how graffiti styles and meanings reflect the distinct identities and stories of Berlin's neighbourhoods, shedding light on the profound cultural impact of this street art form.
